FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR — The case of the sale of a minor named Bilqis involving the suspect SY (30) continues to unfold.
The two children of the suspect who were allegedly used as “lure” to pick up Bilqis have now been detained by the UPTD for the Protection of Women and Children (PPA) of Makassar City.
UPTD PPA Makassar legal counselor, Sitti Aisyah, confirmed that the perpetrator’s two children are now in a safe house.
“Yes, it’s true that the two perpetrators’ children came at night, and we immediately put them in a safe house,” said Sitti Aisyah when met at her office, Tuesday (11/11/2025).
Aisyah said that this quick step was taken because SY’s two children no longer had a place to leave them after their mother was detained by the police.
“Because his parents are still at Polrestabes and the rest of the family is no longer there and his father is also in Papua,” he said.
What made the situation even more worrying, said Aisyah, was that one of the two children was also a victim of alleged sexual violence by his own uncle in Makassar.
“Meanwhile, the perpetrator’s two children, one of whom was a victim of sexual violence from his uncle, also in Makassar,” he explained.
Aisyah explained that her party is now focusing on providing psychological services and ensuring that SY’s child’s education continues.
“Regarding education, we will coordinate with the school, so that recovery can run smoothly, and we will provide psychological services,” he added.
He also said that stigma in the surrounding environment also adds to the psychological burden on these children.
