FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Former Head of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Kabareskrim) of the National Police, Komjen (Ret.) Susno Duadji, took part in responding to the giving of abolition to Tom Lembong.
This was evident when commenting on the upload of PKB cadres, Umar Sahadat Hasibuan or Gus Umar on social media accounts X.
“The Attorney General should retreat. Not ashamed of Tom Lembong forced to be convicted and then given abolition with the President,” Gus Umar wrote, quoted Saturday (2/8/2025).
The tweet accompanied by a video related to Tom Lembong was commented on Susno Duadji.
The former official of the National Police Headquarters said that what happened to Tom Lembong could be a lesson for the prosecutor’s office so that it was independent and not a means of power.
“Abolition for Tom Lembong is valuable lessons for the prosecutors’ institution so that idependen and do not want to be used as a tool of political interests of the authorities, the name of the prosecutor’s office is good do not be damaged by political interests,” Susno wrote.
As is known, Tom Lembong received abolition from President Prabowo. Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas said, the entire legal process that was running for former Minister of Trade Thomas Trikasih Lembong was stopped after receiving abolition from President Prabowo Subianto.
He said, the termination of the entire legal process was a consequence after the proposal of abolition submitted by the President was officially received by the DPR.
“For the granting of abolition to brothers Tom Lembong, thus, the consequences, if the name is abolition, then the entire legal process that is ongoing is stopped. Yes, it was stopped,” he said at the DPR complex last Thursday. (BS-Sam/Dawn)
