To Create Decent and Quality Housing, BRI Strengthens the Gentengization Program through the KUR Housing Scheme

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk confirms its commitment to supporting the success of the “Gentengization” program through financing People’s Business Credit (KUR) for Housing or Housing Program Credit (KPP). This support is in line with the direction of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto so that people can use cooler and more suitable roofing materials, such as roof tiles, rather than zinc or asbestos, as part of efforts to improve the quality and comfort of people’s homes.

This commitment was conveyed by BRI President Director Hery Gunardi, accompanied by BRI Consumer Banking Director Aris Hartanto, when receiving a visit from the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait, BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho, Majalengka Regent Eman Suherman, and West Java Provincial Secretary Herman Suryatman at the BRILiaN Club, Jakarta, on Friday (27/02).

On this occasion, Hery emphasized that BRI takes a strategic role in facilitating financing between roof tile entrepreneurs and developers (housing developers). In the scheme, BRI is present after there is a cooperation contract between roof tile entrepreneurs and developers, so that financing can be immediately facilitated.

“BRI’s role is in the middle. When there is a contract between the roof tile entrepreneur and the developer or user, BRI is ready to facilitate the financing. Coincidentally, we already have KUR Housing, building materials like this are part of KUR Housing. As a bank whose DNA is in favor of small businesses and the people, as the name suggests, Bank Rakyat Indonesia, we are ready to provide financing to support these needs,” said Hery.
