The government announced 4 islands back to Aceh, former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources questioning this matter

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Sudirman Said welcomed the news of the return of four islands that had become a polemic to Aceh.

Through tweeting on his personal social media account, Sudirman Said revealed gratitude with the return of these four islands.

“𝗞𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗜 𝗞𝗘 𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗛 𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗛 … Alhamdulillah, although it had reaped the controversy, finally four islands, Pulau Panjang, Lipan Island, Mangkir Gadang Island, and Mangkir Pulau, back to the provinces that were entitled to take care of it: Aceh,” he wroted in Tuesday (6/17/2025).

However, he found an interesting thing from the Minister of Home Affairs’ decision to return the four islands to Aceh.

“But there is something interesting: The Minister of Home Affairs Decree is corrected by the agreement of two governors,” he said.

“Isn’t the one who made a mistake that had to correct? Or the boss?,” He said.

With the return of these four islands to Aceh, Sudirman has a special message to Aceh.

“Congratulations to the people of Aceh, don’t ever be tired of loving Indonesia …,” he explained.

Previously, the government had decided the 4 islands dispute over the North Sumatra Provincial Government (North Sumatra) and Aceh.

Through the announcement made by Palace 4 island is legitimate owned by the Aceh Provincial Government.

This was conveyed at the State Minister’s press conference Prasetyo Hadi at the Presidential Office, Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (6/17/2025).
