FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The 2026 India Open badminton championship has finished its second day of competition.
On the second day, there were again two Indonesian representatives competing in the round of 32.
The two Indonesian representatives competing came from the men’s singles and women’s doubles sectors.
They are Jonatan Christie from men’s singles and Lanny Tria Mayasari/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi from women’s doubles.
It’s just different from the first day where two Indonesian representatives managed to sweep away the victory.
For the second day, the two competing representatives had to be satisfied with getting different results.
Starting from the men’s singles, Jonatan Christie managed to win in his first match in this event.
Facing Singapore’s representative, Jia Heng Jason Teh, Jojo as he is known without difficulty managed to win in two straight games.
Meanwhile, a different result was achieved by the women’s doubles pair, Lanny Tria Mayasari/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi
Appearing against the world’s number 1 women’s doubles pair from China, Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning, forced the Indonesian representative to stop.
Even though they managed to put up resistance, Lanny/Tiwi had to settle for losing through a fierce game of three games to the Chinese representative.
