Prof. Dr. Najmi Kamariah was confirmed as a professor, the head of the Indonesian LAN pushed the birth of a visionary academic from the STIA LAN Makassar Polytechnic

FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR – The STIA LAN Makassar Polytechnic continues to show its commitment in giving birth to qualified, visionary, and relevant teaching staff to the times.

This was again proven through the inauguration of Prof. Dr. Najmi Kamariah SE MSI CHRM CWM as a professor in the field of Strategic Management in the Public Sector.

The inauguration procession took place solemnly in the Makassar LAN SKMP Pusjar Hall on Thursday (3/7/2025), and was also attended by the Head of the Indonesian State Administration Institute (LAN), Dr. Muhammad Taufiq DEA. In his remarks, he expressed high appreciation of the strategic role of the STIA LAN Makassar Polytechnic in the LAN Scientific Ecosystem of the Republic of Indonesia.

“I want to encourage and invite all the academics of the STIA Lan Makassar Polytechnic to make this momentum as a lighter of enthusiasm in accelerating the birth of other professors,” he said.

According to him, the increase in the number of professors will strengthen the institutional capacity of LAN RI to be more stronger and have a broad impact, especially in building a professional and adaptive bureaucracy towards global dynamics.

In his scientific speech entitled Orchestration Resources in Improving Governance and Competitiveness of Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), Prof. Najmi Kamariah explained the complexity of BUMD governance which is often trapped in the tug of attachment between the functions of public services and profit orientation.

“As a local government -owned business entity, BUMD is faced with a dual role that is not easy. On the one hand must serve the community, on the other hand it is demanded to contribute to local revenue,” he explained.
