FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Ministry of Manpower issued a new policy that will remove a work recruitment system that does not apply the principle of justice and is considered to be discriminatory.
Regarding the prohibition of discrimination in the process of recruiting labor, the Ministry of Manpower issued a circular (SE).
Minister of Manpower Yassierli said that every Indonesian society must be given an opportunity and worthiness.
According to him, the world of work must be a fair space, and inclusion without discrimination. So that people feel treated fairly.
This was conveyed directly when he gave a press statement related to the launch of the Ministry of Manpower related to the prohibition of discrimination in the process of recruiting labor, Wednesday (5/28/2025).
“The world of work must be a fair space, inclusion, without discrimination, and provide the same opportunity for every citizen who is part of our national development objectives,” Yassierli said
In addition, the birth of this circular is based on the 1945 Constitution (Constitution) which guarantees the rights of every citizen for the work and livelihoods that are appropriate for humanity.
Responding to a variety of public complaints, one of which was discrimination, he said that his party still saw the challenges of dynamics in the practice of labor recruitment which was considered unfair.
“The current dynamics of labor recruitment practices still show challenges that lead to discriminatory practices in the recruitment process, for example, age restrictions, must look attractive or good looking, marital status, height, skin color, ethnicity, etc.,” he said.
