Latest News: Bamsoet Appreciates Vault Automotive Museum Cafe to Strengthen Automotive Tourism

Member of the DPR RI, Bambang Soesatyo, appreciated the presence of the Vault Automotive Museum Cafe in South Jakarta. According to him, automotive tourism destinations can increase tourist options while strengthening the creative economy ecosystem, tourism and preserving national automotive history.
“When they come to this museum cafe, before having coffee and hanging out, visitors are invited to see firsthand the journey of design, technology and the character of vehicles from various eras. This is important so that people understand that the automotive industry developed through a long process, full of innovation and full of historical value,” said Bamsoet in his statement, Sunday (1/2/26).
Bamsoet explained that the Vault Automotive Museum occupies a three-story building with different functions. The first floor displays classic cars across decades, from the post-war era to the 1990s. The second floor contains a collection of vintage motorbikes, including a number of rare units that are rarely exhibited to the public. The third floor functions as a cafe area.

“In many countries, automotive museums have become tourist magnets and educational centers. The Vault Automotive Museum Cafe is on the right track in that direction. The collection of classic cars and motorbikes on display has high historical value, some are even in the rare category and are difficult to find elsewhere,” he said.
He believes that the strength of this place lies in the curation of the collection and the “living” historical narrative. Each vehicle, he said, carries a story about technological evolution, design changes, and the socio-economic context of its time, so that visitors can see classic cars and motorbikes as artifacts of civilization.

“We hope that in the future the Vault Automotive Museum Cafe can collaborate with educational institutions, the automotive community and local governments to expand its educational functions. Student tour programs, automotive history discussions and thematic exhibitions can strengthen the museum’s role as a center for automotive literacy,” concluded Bamsoet.
