FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The appointment of government employees with a part -time Work Agreement (PPPK) is now entering the determination stage. One of the many questions arises, are they also entitled to overtime money?
Part-time PPPK is a new scheme implemented by the government to organize non-ASN personnel, both at the center and regions. This scheme allows someone to work with shorter working hours and salaries that are tailored to the budget capabilities of the agency.
In the rules of the State Personnel Agency (BKN), PPPK part -time is included in the ASN category. They have the PPPK Identification Number and Annual Employment Contract. The government also provides opportunities for part -time employees who excel to turn into full time employees.
Regarding overtime, the Ministry of Finance has issued Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 32 of 2025 concerning Input Costs Standards (SBM) of the 2026 fiscal year. This regulation is a reference in the preparation of the Work Plan and Budget of the Ministry/Institution (RKA-K/L).
Through the PMK, it is certain that the part -time PPPK is entitled to overtime and overtime money according to the provisions. Overtime money is only given based on an authorized official warrant and calculated if the employee works overtime for at least two consecutive hours, with a maximum provision one time per day.
In addition to ASN, this rule also applies to non-ASN employees, including security guards, drivers, janitors, and serialing. However, employees who are bound by outsourcing contracts are not included in this category.
