Latest News: Motorbike Rider Breaks Through Flood in Kemang-Mampang, South Jakarta

A number of areas were flooded due to overnight rain, one of which was the Kemang area, South Jakarta. Passing motorists were reckless in driving through the floodwaters.
Monitoring detikcom on Jalan Duren Bangka, East Kemang, South Jakarta, Sunday (8/3/2026) at 13.22 WIB the flood was about 30 cm high. It seemed that many drivers were turning their vehicles around.

However, there are also drivers who are reckless in driving through the floodwaters. It was seen that several riders had also stopped their engines and were pushing their motorbikes in the middle of the flood.
Then, the flood also hit Jalan Mampang Prapatan 16. It seemed that there were residents who took advantage of the flood to wash their motorbikes.
Motorists who want to pass by are often asked by local residents to turn around. However, there are also drivers who are reckless about crossing into the middle of the flood with a height of around 10 to 50 cm.
“Turn around sir, don’t be reckless, if you are reckless the engine will stall,” said resident Ken the driver.
