Jasa Marga recorded 154 thousand vehicles leaving Jabodetabek on D-7 Christmas 2025. The number of vehicles leaving Jabodetabek increased 7.7 percent compared to normal traffic.
Data for 154 thousand vehicles starting from 18 December 2025 at 06.00 WIB to Friday 19 December 2025 at 06.00 WIB. Vehicles leave the Jabotabek area via four main toll gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (towards Merak), GT Ciawi (towards Puncak), GT Cikampek Utama (towards Trans Java) and GT Kalihurip Utama (towards Bandung).
For the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek towards three directions, namely with the majority of 65,648 vehicles (42.5%) heading east (Trans Java and Bandung), 51,591 vehicles (33.4%) heading west (Merak) and 37,364 vehicles (24.2%) heading south (Puncak).
Road users are advised to avoid traveling during predicted peak times. It is predicted that the peak of the Christmas homecoming flow will occur starting tomorrow, December 20.
“We also urge the public to download the Travoy mobile app, to make it easier for toll road users to plan their trips,” said Jasa Marga Main Director Rivan Achmad Purwantono in his statement, Friday (19/12/2025).
Jasa Marga is increasing the number of officers at main toll gates and at congestion points. His party also supports traffic engineering implemented by the Police.
“In addition to ensuring the functioning of toll equipment at the toll booths, we are also increasing the number of officers and mobile readers to increase transaction capacity at the main toll gates. Apart from that, we are also anticipating the potential for congestion on the lanes by placing officers at points prone to congestion on favorite toll roads to speed up handling vehicle disturbances on the lanes and manage traffic more quickly,” he explained.
Jasa Marga also provides a stimulus discount of 20% toll rates on 8 strategic sections as an effort to encourage national economic growth in line with the Company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and to provide a comfortable driving experience for toll road users during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 periods.
This stimulus cut includes strategic sections on the Trans Java, Trans Sumatra and Sulawesi, including the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, MBZ Flyover, Palimanan-Kanci Toll Road, Batang-Semarang Toll Road, Semarang Toll Road Sections A, B, C, Belawan-Medan-Tanjung Morawa (Belmera) Toll Road, Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi Toll Road (MKTT) and Manado-Bitung Toll Road.
Rivan said that the 20% toll rate discount stimulus on Trans Java and Trans Sumatra will be applied for 3 days, namely on 22, 23, 31 December 2025 and 20 days from 22 December 2025 to 10 January 2026 specifically for the Manado-Bitung Toll Road.
“The total toll road sections that receive tariff discounts reach eight toll sections spread across the Trans Java, Trans Sumatra and Sulawesi regions. This toll tariff discount will apply to all vehicle classes in both directions for toll road users who travel continuously using electronic toll cards. This toll tariff discount stimulus is expected to ease the burden of travel costs for toll road users, as well as encourage national economic growth,” he added.
