Dwi Rinawati (53), Owner Pecel Ndoweh claimed to get the experience of making pecel spices from his grandfather and grandmother who is also a stall owner in his hometown in Madiun. The experience was then deliberately taken to Batu City by establishing a home -based pecel stall which was originally perfunctory.
“Initially, in front of here using a table, the same selling for soccer training in the field. My child is training, we also carry sales in the car,” said Dwi Rinawati in his stall, Pecel Ndoweh located in Binangun Village, Kec. Bumiaji, Batu Malang City.
Ndoweh pecel is served with a special bamboo plate coated with banana leaves. The presentation package for Rp. 8 thousand is equipped with topping peyek, pickles, mendoan, orek tempeh and srundeng. But visitors can ask for additional side dishes such as omelette, chicken and wasp nest with adding prices. “Many people like and are accepted by the people here,” he said.
The pecel rice shop business was pioneered by Dwi Rinawati and his family in early 2021, during Pandemi Covid-19. At that time, his son and son -in -law who depended on the tourism business were laid off and had to look for other alternative business paths. The world of tourism is quiet and cannot be expected as a source of livelihood for the family anymore. While the effort continues, moreover he lives with two children and two grandchildren.
