Accompanied by Teddy Indra Wijaya, President Prabowo Visits Flood Victims in West Sumatra

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto has set foot in the flood and landslide disaster area for the umpteenth time, Wednesday (17/12).

The President, accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary, Teddy Indra Wijaya, visited disaster victims in Padang, West Sumatra (Sumbar).

President Prabowo’s PK GRD presidential plane landed at Minangkabau International Airport at 18.31 WIB.

When he arrived at the airport, the president was greeted directly by the Governor of West Sumatra, Mahyeldi and the Head of the West Sumatra Regional Police, Inspector General Gatot Tri Suryanta.

President Prabowo is scheduled to visit a number of areas affected by the disaster. This is the second time the Head of State has visited the disaster site in West Sumatra.

On Monday (1/12), the President visited Padang Pariaman to visit the refugees. It is known that President Prabowo has visited a number of flood and landslide disaster locations in Sumatra three times.

Previously, on Monday (1/12), the President visited areas affected by floods and landslides in Central Tapanuli Regency and North Tapanuli Regency in North Sumatra Province, Southeast Aceh Regency in Aceh Province, and Padang Pariaman Regency in West Sumatra Province.

Furthermore, on Sunday (7/12), Prabowo headed to Aceh Province to inspect the points of damage and significant flood impacts in Bireuen Regency, as well as chairing a special meeting for handling the Sumatra disaster in Banda Aceh.

After returning from a state visit abroad, the President continued his inspection on Friday (12/12) in Bener Meriah Regency and Aceh Tamiang Regency.
Then on Saturday (13/12) Prabowo visited the evacuation post for flash flood victims in Aceh Tamiang Regency, visited disaster victims in Takengon, Central Aceh, and visited the MAN 1 Langkat Refugee Post in Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, to have a dialogue with the affected communities.
