French President Emmanuel Macron with his wife Brigitte Macron has arrived in Indonesia. The arrival of Macron and his wife was welcomed by Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.
Monitoring detikcomTuesday (5/27/2025), the presidential aircraft boarded by Macron and his wife and entourage arrived at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force, Jakarta at 22:00 WIB. Defense Minister Sjafrie and Foreign Minister Sugiono welcomed President Macron from under the stairs of the palace.
A number of honorary troops have also lined up under the stairs. Betawi dance and music performance accompanied the arrival of President Macron.
Getting off the stairs of the plane, Macron and his wife then shook hands with the Indonesian delegation. After that, they walked on the blue carpet to the car.
President Macron and his wife seemed to stop for a moment in front of the dancers. They seemed to enjoy the dance until finished then got into the car. After that, around 22.28 WIB, the series of Macron’s President and his entourage left the location.
Macron will be received by President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace, tomorrow. The arrival of Macron will be welcomed with a state ceremony which is then followed by a bilateral meeting.
In addition to conducting a state visit, Macron is also scheduled to visit Magelang on May 29, 2025. Macron accompanied by Prabowo will visit Borobudur Temple and the Magelang Military Academy.
It is known, Macron is on a Southeast Asian tour. The second country Indonesia visited by Macron in Southeast Asia after Vietnam. After this, the trip will be continued by visiting Singapore.
