Actor and presenter Ferry Maryadi revealed an unpleasant experience when he was battling vertigo. This condition even caused him to fall and had to receive treatment in the Emergency Unit (ER).
Ferry admitted that he had experienced a quite severe vertigo attack several years ago.
“Wow… yes, I fell. I even went to the emergency room,” said Ferry Maryadi at Trans7 Studio, Warung Buncit, South Jakarta, Friday (29/5/2026).
Deswita Maharani’s husband said the incident occurred around two or three years ago.
“The vertigo was about 2 years ago, 2 or 3 years ago I went to the emergency room,” he said.
Ferry then explained that based on the information he received from the doctor, vertigo could be triggered by disorders of the ear or brain.
“As for vertigo, what I know is that it comes from the ears and the brain. Imbalance, I think it comes from the ears,” he said.
As a result of this condition, Ferry received a special warning from the doctor regarding his driving activities. Especially for long distance travel.
“My doctor said basically, the doctor doesn’t recommend that I drive long distances anymore,” said Ferry.
However, the man who is known for his hobby of touring on a big motorbike admits that he is still looking for ways to continue traveling long distances. One of them is by always carrying the necessary medicines.
“I just said how can I drive long distances, I have to carry medicine,” he continued.
Meanwhile, his wife, Deswita Maharani, had banned Ferry from carrying out this activity after learning about his condition. However, over time, the ban began to soften.
“At that time, it was prohibited, yes. After a while, that’s enough… just be happy,” concluded Ferry.
