FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Governor of West Java (West Java), Dedi Mulyadi apologized to the public for the events that occurred at the thanksgiving location of his son’s marriage, Friday (7/18/2025).

Hearing the news that three people were declared dead as a result of the soaring mass of the masses, he immediately left for Garut.

“I headed for Garut because I heard the news, the celebration of Maula and Putri’s wedding activities with residents was visited by a very large number of people,” Dedi said in his video circulating.

As the bride’s parents, he also expressed his deep sorrow over the death of three victims.

“In the end it caused casualties. I convey deep condolences,” he added.

Dedi also prayed to the victims to be accepted by God Almighty, forgiven, and placed in the best place.

“For the families left behind, hopefully given fortitude,” he said.

Previously, the wedding party of the son of the governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi on the Field of Oto Iskandar Dinata, Garut, turned into deep sorrow.

A police officer died while carrying out security duties.

The victim is known as Bripka Cecep Saeful Bahri (39), who died while regulating the mass flow in the middle of the hustle and bustle of thousands of residents who packed the location.

The party was a series of marriages between Maula Akbar Mulyadi Putra, the eldest son of Governor Dedi, and Putri Karlina, who served as Deputy Regent of Garut.
