FAJAR.CO.ID – President Prabowo Subianto revealed that he has intelligence data that identifies parties suspected of financing a number of political observers who often criticize the government.
This statement was delivered at the Plenary Cabinet Session at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday (13/3/2026), confirming that the government has complete information regarding the critical narrative that has emerged so far.
“I have intelligence data. Previously I was outside the government, now I am the president. Every day I get intelligence reports. I already know who is financing it,” said Prabowo when giving an introduction to the session.
Observers Considered Less Patriotic
Prabowo believes that some political observers who often criticize the government are actually not happy to see the success of government programs. According to him, this attitude reflects a narrow view and does not show a spirit of patriotism.
“There are observers who really don’t like their own government being successful. In my opinion, that kind of attitude is narrow, not a patriotic attitude,” he explained.
Idrus Marham Calls for Rational and Ethical Criticism
Responding to this dynamic, Deputy General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP, Idrus Marham, reminded the importance of maintaining ethics and values in conveying criticism of the government. He emphasized that criticism is an inseparable part of democracy, but must be delivered honestly, rationally, and not driven by certain interests that could damage the quality of democracy.
“Today there are many people who are fighting in the name of justice but doing so unfairly. Fighting for democracy but in an undemocratic way. Carrying values but in a way that has no value,” he said.
