FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – As part of a commitment in building a more prosperous community, PT Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 Tbk (PIK 2) distributed 1,000 BPJS Employment membership to fishermen in the Tanjung Pasir area, Teluk Naga, Tangerang Regency.
This assistance was distributed through cooperation with the Regional Leadership Council of the Indonesian Fishermen Community Association (DPD HMNI) of Tangerang Regency and inaugurated through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
“CSR Agung Sedayu Group together with SECI wants to continue to make a real contribution to the welfare of the community. The assistance of 1,000 BPJS is expected to provide protection to fishermen in dealing with work risks, as well as old age insurance,” said ASG Estate Management Director, Restu Mahesa.
This step received a warm welcome from the Tangerang Regency Government. Assistant II of the Tangerang Regent Syaifullah said the program was a form of positive collaboration between the private sector and regional governments in encouraging the welfare of coastal citizens.
Chairperson of DPP HMNI Brata Tridarma also expressed his appreciation for this initiative. According to him, the MoU is a concrete first step to encourage improving the quality of life of the north coast of Tangerang.
“I am proud of the MoU between HMNI and PIK 2. We hope that the benefits can be directly felt by the fishing community in the future,” he said.
Meanwhile, Slamet Riyadi, one of the local fishermen, expressed his gratitude for the assistance. He stressed that protection such as BPJS is needed by fishermen, considering that their work depends fully on natural conditions.
