Disagreements in legal views colored Ammar Zoni’s defense efforts, after his fourth drug case was declared to have permanent legal force or inkracht.
Jon Mathias, the attorney who has accompanied Ammar Zoni from the start, expressed his objection to the strategy of the new lawyer, Krisna Murti, who wanted to file a Judicial Review (PK). He considered this step too hasty and had a high risk for his client’s legal future.
In his opinion, submitting a PK without thorough preparation and strong new evidence would only waste his client’s golden opportunity. He sees that the potential for success of this legal step is very slim if it is implemented in the near future.
“The possibility of success from our experience is 10 percent,” said Jon Mathias, Wednesday (13/5/2026).
Jon Mathias emphasized that the main condition for accepting a PK is that there is Novum or new evidence that has never appeared in a previous trial.
“I haven’t seen anyone breaking up, it’s like someone died, the grave is still red, suddenly it’s like the wife remarried, right? So, yes, that’s why I decided I didn’t want to join if the PK was submitted as soon as possible,” said Jon Mathias.
Apart from the problem of new evidence, Jon Mathias also doubts the point of the judge’s error which is usually a loophole in the PK. He reminded that judges rarely grant PK requests based solely on the argument of error without being supported by strong evidence.
“The main requirement for a PK is Novum. Yes, judges’ mistakes are rarely granted,” stressed Jon Mathias.
This difference in views ultimately made Jon Mathias choose to withdraw from the team that manages PK Ammar Zoni.
“I have a different view. I don’t want to be in that carriage either. Because I can see that this is my personal opinion, I don’t have that view yet,” he concluded.
Now, Jon Mathias prefers to focus on other legal measures requested by the family, namely urging the police to pursue the main dealer in the Ammar Zoni case.
Meanwhile, the plan to submit a PK continues under the control of a new lawyer, even though Jon Mathias openly doubts the effectiveness of this step for Ammar Zoni.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
