Latest News: 58th Anniversary of the Golkar Faction, Bamsoet Highlights the Arrangement of Political Parties

Member of the DPR RI and Deputy General Chair of the Golkar Party, Bambang Soesatyo, assessed that the commemoration of the 58th anniversary of the Golkar Party Fraction of the DPR RI was an important momentum to strengthen the commitment to maintain democracy, promote prosperity, and ensure social justice is present in every state policy.
According to him, the age of 58 years is proof of the long struggle of the DPR RI Golkar Party faction, as well as a reminder that a big task still awaits in overseeing the nation’s journey towards a Golden Indonesia 2045 with healthy democracy, widespread prosperity, and real social justice felt by all people.
“At the age of 58, the Golkar Party faction must become more mature in reading the challenges of the times. Indonesia is heading towards 2045 facing a demographic bonus, digital transformation, global economic pressures, and geopolitical dynamics. Political power in parliament must be translated into decisions that have a direct impact on the welfare of the people,” said Bamsoet, in a written statement, Friday (13/2/2026).
The event commemorating the 58th anniversary of the DPR RI Golkar Party Fraction was also attended by the General Chair of the Golkar Party Bahlil Lahadalia, Chair of the Golkar Party Ethics Council Moh. Hatta, Deputy Chair of the MPR Kahar Muzakir, Deputy Chair of the DPR Sari Yuliati, Chair of the Golkar Party Fraction Sarmuji, Treasurer of the Golkar Party Putri Komarudin, former Chair of the DPR Setya Novanto, former Chair of the Andi Matalata Fraction, Robert Kardinal, as well as members of the Golkar Party Fraction of the DPR RI.
The chairman of the 20th DPR RI and chairman of Commission III of the 7th DPR RI reminded that based on the results of the 2024 elections, the Golkar Party was in second place with the most DPR seats with a total of 102 seats. This configuration provides strategic space for the Golkar Party Fraction in the formation of laws, discussion of the APBN, and the function of monitoring the running of the government.
He emphasized that this political power must be translated into legislative work that is responsive and supports the needs of society.
“In the midst of global changes and national political dynamics, the DPR must be the anchor of democracy. The Golkar Party faction has a moral and political responsibility to ensure that every legislative process is transparent, participatory and based on the interests of the wider people,” he said.
As Deputy General Chair of the Indonesian KADIN, Deputy General Chair/Head of the FKPPI State Defense Agency, and Deputy General Chair of Pemuda Pancasila, Bamsoet added that the celebration of the 58th anniversary of the Golkar Party Fraction is part of internal consolidation to face the future legislative agenda.

This momentum, he said, is a reminder that a long political journey must always be accompanied by integrity, ethics of power and a strong commitment to the interests of the nation.
“The celebration of the 58th anniversary must provide new energy to ensure democracy produces prosperity and social justice. The Golkar Party faction must also be an example of how politics is carried out in a civilized, professional manner and oriented towards national interests,” concluded Bamsoet.
