FAJAR.CO.ID – A new study and the first to investigate how to add cream and sugar to coffee can affect the health benefits.
New research connects coffee with lower risk of death – but only if sugar and cream levels are low.
Additional sugar and saturated fat does not eliminate the benefits of coffee, but instead has its own health risks.
To get the maximum benefit, experts recommend drinking black coffee or coffee with a little sweetener.
Coffee not only wakes you up in the morning – this bitter drink has been associated with a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and death. However, depending on what you add to your coffee, you may not get this health benefit from your cup of coffee, according to a new study.
The researchers found that people who drink one to two cups of coffee every day have a 14% lower risk of death compared to those who don’t drink coffee.
However, it only applies to those who drink black coffee, or with a little cream, milk, or sweetener. Too much additive seems to reduce the health benefits of coffee.
“If we add a lot of sugar or saturated fat to our diet, it will increase your intake [kalori] In total, we can also be associated with adverse health impacts, “said senior study writer, Fang Fang Zhang, MD, PhD, professor from Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.
